With the help of NSDC and the 504 loan program Diane Ross and her Daughter Joann Ross-Blake where able to finance and lock in a terrific interest rate of 5.511% for 20 years on a building that would suit both their companies that have been a part of the Reno community since the early 1990s. Nevada Communication Services specializes in adult day care; child day care; home safety; a website for the Division for Aging Services and care giver training. The Continuum Specializes in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and massage therapy. The companies make up a community based intergenerational health and wellness center that specializes in rehabilitation-physical, occupational, speech/communication therapies; home safety evaluations and modifications; adult day program; infant/toddler nursery and preschool; caregiver education and training and community outreach. They serve all ages and work as a team encouraging clients and family participation through weekly interdisciplinary staffing, family conferences, and close communication with physicians and referral agencies. They host a caregiver support group and the Nevada Caregiver Coalition. They also work with Nevada Early Intervention Services in providing child care services to children with special needs; collaborate with Children's Cabinet to help single moms return to work; participates in numerous community advisory boards and chairs the Nevada Caregiver Coalition. Diane is the recipient of the UNR Sanford Center for Aging Senior Star Award and the Governor's Certificate of Appreciation for Services to Nevada's Seniors.
